Execution of decisions of the Constitutional Court is prescribed as a general duty of the state, other authorities and organizations entrusted with public authority, political parties, trade unions, associations of citizens and religious communities. The Constitutional Court performs its basic function of custodians of the Constitution and the basic values on which the Constitution itself is based, through direct normative control of the constitutionality and legality of general acts and through direct protection of individual rights and freedom of citizens. That function can be accomplished through cooperation with all branches of the government. Because it often has a role or protector of the rights of citizens and their property, acting on constitutional complaints, it approached the regular judiciary. The decisions taken on that occasion are executed according to the rules which are rather modestly regulated by the Law on the Constitutional Court. Open issues that can arise during the implementation of the Constitutional Court decisions are mainly related to the power of the enforcement authority, the course of the proceedings itself and the responsibility for non-execution of decisions. The above issues as well as the normative analysis of the existing substrate are the subject of this paper.
